PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE: Dear Brothers and Sisters: Winter is here, but we are all looking forward to spring. I hope you all had a Blessed Christmas with your families. As Italians we cherish our ties to our families. The family is the foundation of our heritage. It is the time of year that we thank God for our blessings. We look forward to a new year filled with health and happiness. On December 3rd we had our Children’s Christmas Party. It was a great success. I would like to thank Sr. Lillian Ceriello and her committee, as well as Br. Tony Sclafani who was our Santa Claus. At our last membership meeting on December 7th we had our covered dish Christmas Party and were entertained with the music of the “Trio Napoli”. Thank you to Srs. Rose Pascucci , Grace Stanco and all the other members who helped in the kitchen and for all of you who brought in a covered dish. A special thank you to Br. John Macari, his sister Phyllis and her husband Joe Cardillo for providing the music. Fun was had by all. It really put us in the Christmas spirit. On December 11th we had our annual Dinner Dance. This year we honored Br. Frank Caruso and celebrated our 85th Anniversary. A special thank you to Sr. Kathryn Grande and Br. Tony Ceriello who co-chaired the dinner dance and their committee, who made this afternoon possible. I would also like to thank Sr. Lillian Ceriello and Br. Jim McAleer who co-chaired the Journal and their committee who went out to obtain the ads. We would also like to thank Sr. Janis Ceriello, who was our corresponding secretary. Don’t forget our New Year’s Eve Party. Our next membership meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 4th. This will also be our annual Homemade Wine Tasting Party. We will have some cheese and crackers to go along with the wine. These are some of the events coming up in January: • January 4th - Membership/Homemade Wine Tasting • January 11th - Council Meeting Please help the Lodge move forward by bringing in a new member.
