PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE: Dear Brothers and Sisters: I hope this newsletter finds you and your families in good health. We have had a mild winter so far, but I think the worst is yet to come. As I write this letter, I think they are predicting snow. Let’s hope for the best. On December 31st we had our New Year’s Eve Party. A special thank you to Br. Rocco Cangero for organizing this affair. I would also like to thank his New Year’s Eve committee: Brs. Jim McAleer, Guiseppe Malzoni, Tony Ceriello, Tony Abbondandolo, Tony Sclafani, Rocco DiSibio, Carmine Ricciardi, Srs. Michele Abbondandolo, Palmina Cangero and Annamaria Saviano. I would like to thank our nominating committee Br. Tony Ceriello, chairman, Sr. Rose Pascucci and past presidents, Brs. Lee Cerullo, Tony Sclafani and Sr. Kathryn Grande for putting together a slate of officers for the 2005-2006 calendar year. We will vote on the slate of officers at our February 2nd membership meeting and at our March 2nd membership meeting we will have our Installation of Officers. In this LaVoce I have attached a copy of the New York State Order Sons of Italy Scholarship and Grant application ( see the attached applications for details). Don’t forget, our next membership meeting will be on February 2nd. As usual a light collation will be served following the meeting. Our Bowling Party will be held on February 13th (see the attached flyer for details). March will be a busy month for us. In addition to our Installation on March 2nd many of us will be going to installations at other Lodges. Please bring a covered dish for our installation. On Sunday, March 13th, we will have our annual celebration to St. Joseph. We will be setting up an altar. Would you please bring a meatless covered dish. (see attached flyer). The dues for the year 2005 are already due. Please use the invoice in LaVoce to send in your dues. You are only a member in good standing when you pay your dues. We are still waiting to receive 8 x 10 photographs of Past Presidents. If you know someone, who is not active please let them know.
