PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE: Dear Brothers and Sisters: We were fortunate to enjoy some lovely autumn weather, but unfortunately winter is not far behind. The autumn leaves looked beautiful. I hope you all enjoyed a Happy Thanksgiving with your families. As Italians we cherish our ties to our families. The family is the foundation of our lives. It is the time of year that we thank God for our blessings and pray for health and happiness. After every meeting we are fortunate to have a collation. I would like to thank Srs. Grace Stanco and Rose Pascucci for preparing the food and Sr. Lillian Ceriello for picking up items needed for the collation. The deceased members’ mass on November 7th was a great success. We had a great turnout. I would like to thank the committee: Sr. Mary Capobianco and Brs. Lee Cerullo, Saverio Gallace and Guy Minutoli. I want to thank all the members who assisted in putting together the plenary session. The plenary session was a great success. Everything worked out well. The food was spectacular. We have received many compliments. Loggia Glen Cove can hold its head high. What a wonderful tribute to the lodge and its members. At the plenary session State President Joseph DiTrapani presented Sr. Mary Capobianco with a certificate from the Grand Lodge which expressed their sincere appreciation to Lewis Capobianco, Posthumously Deputy Emeritus to the Andrea Lodge #2201. It was a great tribute to Sr. Mary Capobianco and her family to see her husband honored. I want to thank all the members who came to the dinner dance on November 14th honoring our Immediate Past President Br. Tony Sclafani. This dinner dance would not have been possible, if it weren’t for the hard work of the co-chairs, Sr. Kathryn Grande and Br. Tony Ceriello and their committee. I would also like to thank the co-chairs of the journal committee Sr. Lillian Ceriello and Br. Jim McAleer and all the committee members who went out to get ads. Please patronize our advertisers. I would also like to thank Sr. Janis Ceriello for all the work she did.
